Moon Images

These were taken by attaching my Samsung gx10 10Mp DSLR body to the skywatcher 8 inch Newtonian using an adaptor ring and 2x Barlow lens. This then effectively allowed me to image the moon at prime focus in effect making the telescope a 2000mm telephoto lens attached to the camera. Aperture is fixed at around f/11 so exposure metering was done manually and for the moon a shutter speed of around 1/25-1/100s always seemed to be satisfactory. I used mirror lockup on the camera to reduce and possible camera shake on the telescope tripod.
