We meet in a beautiful location at
Hauxley Nature Reserve
near Amble on the coast of Northumberland where the skies are
dark and the tea flows thanks to members Jim and Eileen!

The Nature Reserve Visitor
Centre has wheelchair access and is fully heated. It is open all
year round from dawn to dusk for bird watching and in the
evenings we have full access to all of the facilities.
We have our general
society meetings bi-monthly on the second and last Thursday of
each month from 7.30pm until about 9.00pm . Please visit the
Events
page for any updates.
We make plans to meet for
any astronomical event such as eclipses, meteor showers and
comet viewings, usually with Austin's speciality barbecues.
On clear nights we contact
each other, usually through our
Yahoo Discussion Group
for to arrange observing sessions.
We set up our own telescopes in the large car park area as well
as using the observatory.
