“A short stay at Barrowburn will enrich and refresh those jaded with the stresses and pressures of modern life."
"This is truly an unspoilt place, and has come to epitomize the beauty and ruggedness associated with the Northumberland National Park.
A place to come and get away from it all. A true playground to the lovers of the outdoors - Mountain bikers, Walkers, Painters, Photographers, etc. A paradise to the nature lover where during a walk on the hills you are more likely to encounter a badger than another human being!”
The camping barn is a "stone tent" which provides basic accommodation. Formerly a school built in 1879. It is situated among breathtaking scenery in the Cheviot Hills amidst numerous walks and bridleways and challenging Mountain Bike trails up to the high Border Ridge and beyond. Far away from electricity, power for the lighting comes from our own renewable energy supply. Best of all, there is a cosy coal fire-with coal provided at no extra cost-in the large main room.

Sleeping is on raised wooden platforms. In the kitchen, there is a 4 burner gas cooker, and a sink and drainer with hot water. There are toilets and washing areas-with cold water only.
