Members Area Registration Instructions

Click or copy and paste http://nastroforum.boards.net into your browser.

In the orange box enter your email address (the same email address you put on your NASTRO membership application form) and then press Continue.

On the Forum Registration page create a password (this will be the password you log into the forum with).

Verify your password by re-entering it. (Use the password strength meter to judge how strong your password is. Make sure it's strong.)

In the name section enter your first name and initial of your family name, e.g., Mark E

Enter a random birthday if you don't want to put your own birthday in. You must be older than 13 years to be on the forum, so make sure you are when you enter the birth year.

Select a gender from the drop down.

Click Continue

In the Forum Username box put your first name and the initial of your family name, e.g., MarkE (no spaces – if the user name has been taken then change it to suit, e.g., MarkE1, MarkE2, etc. or make up your own Username.)

Tick the box in the Terms of Service Agreement. Read them if you want to, but they are pretty generic ToS for websites.

A box to prove that you are human will pop up. This changes from sign up to sign up, so follow the instruction that are presented. Sometimes it's just a click on the box to put a tick in it, sometimes it asked for you to select all the parts of a picture that have a street sign, it varies), and then hit Submit.

You will now get a screen showing that your registration is pending. This is where the administrators of the Forum (the Committee) will check your name against the current members list. If you're not paid up then you're not going to get access and your registration will be rejected.

At this point check your email (including your junk/spam folder) for an email from ProBoards. There will be a link that you can click on to Activate your ProBoards account. This does not mean that you've been approved, just that you've signed up to the main service provider of the Forum. If you found this email in your junk/spam folder it may be a good time to mark it as safe as you could miss out on emails that are send directly from the Forum.

Once your details have been verified you will receive an email welcoming you to the Forum. Click on the nastroforum.boards.net link within the email to open the Forum in your web browser.

At the top right hand side of the screen click on the word Login.

On the sign in page enter your email address or your Username in the box provided and the password you used to generate the account. Tick the remember me box if you want your computer to remember these details (depending on your browser these details may be saved) – this is optional. If you don't tick the box you will have to enter your email address and password every time you access the Forum.

If you haven't activated your ProBoards account previously, this is where you will have to copy and paste your activation code from your activation email into the Activation Key box, then press Activate.

If done correctly you should get a Success screen. Press Continue

You will now be taken to the NASTRO Members Forum.

In the members section you can read posts, add replies to existing posts and create new posts. Please keep the posts relevant to the section you are posting in and remember you cannot post pictures (but you can copy and paste links to photo sharing sites like Flickr into posts). Currently the calendar is under test. You may not post anything on the calendar, but you can reply to posts already created on the calendar. Start by visiting the 'New Members Start Here' board.

Any questions ask away. We're happy to help.
