Introduction to Astronomy: Practical Astronomy

This session gave a summary of the main telescope designs available.  Also covered were types of mount, focal ratios, eyepieces and magnification.

Here's an interesting toy - a telescope simulator - from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  It demonstrates the properties of a telescope and how they vary with magnification and aperture.
